Read & Watch Book Club

I love reading…
AND watching!

NEXT BOOK: January 14:
Foster (movie is called The Quiet Girl)
by Claire Keegan

I had this idea of a book club where we only read books that have been turned into a movie or TV show because I honestly can’t decide if I like reading better or watching TV/movies. I got the idea after re-watching the movie “Heartburn,” which was based on the book by Nora Ephron. The resulting book club had its first meet-up in November 2023, and then we enjoyed a whole year discussing books, TV shows, and movies in 2024.

I’m so excited to embark on Year 2 in 2025!

This book club is very low commitment. You can read the book then watch the movie/TV show. Or you can watch and then read. You do the reading and watching on your own. Then we meet in person and discuss. And when I say low commitment, I mean: you should join us whether you’ve finished the book … or not … and whether you’ve finished the movie/TV show … or not. This is really all about building community, enjoying time with other people who like books, and having fun! So no matter how much you did or didn’t do to prep.. just c’mon! Join us anyways. Feel free to come some months and not others. Whatever works for you! Low commitment! Yay!

We meet in person…
