WHEN?

We’ll decide the start date together depending on both of our schedules. Ideally this will be at the beginning of a new month but there is some flexibility.

Please fill out the form at the SIGN UP button, and I’ll follow up with you. We’ll set a time for your initial hour-long meeting.*

HOW DOES IT WORK?

We’ll have an initial meeting* either in person or on Zoom to discuss your project and goals. Then every morning Monday-Friday for four weeks (this equates to approximately 20 days), I will text you to see how things are going and to make sure you’re staying on track. Most likely, you’ll want to report back that you’ve made some sort of progress, and this will spur you on to do at least a tiny task every day. You’ll feel so jubilant telling me about the work you’ve done or the item you’ve checked off your list! Each week, we’ll have a check-in meeting via Zoom, and we’ll also have a meeting at the end of the four weeks. My hope is that your progress each week will inspire you to make more progress the next week!

MY #1 RULE:

No shame! We’re all busy with life and work and family and friends and, and, and …
And it’s really hard to stay self-motivated. I really, really want for you to reach your goals and achieve your dreams, but I’m not going to make you feel bad if you opted to use your time to get a cup of coffee with a friend instead of writing the next chapter of your book. If you frequently put off working on your project, there must be a reason, and we should figure out some ways to set you up for success. I want for this to be a happy experience for you! And I want you to feel like you’ve made a bit (or a lot!) of progress over the course of our four weeks together.

What I offer during this four week program:

  • Goal Setting - What do you want to achieve by the end of this month? We’ll meet for one hour via Zoom or in person (if location and schedules align) to figure out your long-term and short-term goals.

  • Daily Morning Text Messages - A good morning and encouragement to get your day started right! I’ll text each morning (Monday-Friday) to make sure you’re pursuing your goals and specific tasks that we’ve discussed.

  • Edits - If you’re working on a writing project, I can edit/offer suggestions for 5-8 pages/week.** I can also edit copy for marketing pieces, your website, your newsletter, etc.

  • Weekly Zoom - We’ll meet for approximately 30 minutes via Zoom once a week to talk about your progress and how it’s going.

  • End of Week 4 Meeting - We’ll meet for one hour via Zoom to discuss your progress over the previous four weeks and to determine some next steps for your process.

* Since this is a one-on-one situation, if, after our initial meeting, I feel that we are not a good fit, I will end our arrangement and refund your money. 

** I’m legit! I graduated from Agnes Scott College as an English Lit/Creative Writing major and have 25+ years work experience related to writing. I’ve been an Editorial Assistant (2 years) and Public Relations Specialist (10 years). For my own businesses, I’ve done Marketing, Social Media, Public Relations, and Communications (18 years). I do not consider myself the world’s greatest grammar guru, but I will be able to offer you edits and suggestions that will improve your text. A professional editor can help you with commas later!
